Apostille Kentucky

In the state of Kentucky, apostilles are issued by the office of Alison Lundergan Grimes, Kentucky’s minister in Frankfort, only for documents originating in Kentucky.

Documents submitted to the apostille must meet the following guidelines:
Notarized documents must be notarized by a notarial office with an active assignment, signed by a district official and verified by a regional or official’s representative.
Registry records must be certified copies of certificates signed by the registry office and Paul F. Royce, the current Secretary of State for Health and Vitality Statistics, and a certified county or deputy.
Divorce documents must be certified copies of divorce decrees issued by a court and signed by a judge and a district or district official.
Commercial documents submitted for apostilization must be certified copies of documents or certificates of good repute.
School records, such as diplomas and transcripts, must be signed by a notary office registered in the Community of Kentucky and the notarial certification must be certified by the registrar of the district official

Apostille Kansas

In the state of Kansas, the apostilles are issued by Kris W. Kobach, Secretary of State of Kansas at Topeka and a notary public.

Documents submitted to the apostille must meet the following guidelines:
· In order for notarial documents to be acceptable for apostilization, they must include a handwritten signature, date, stamp, a complete block of notarization and must be properly notarized, as any error in the notarial act makes apostilization impossible.

· For court decisions, divorce decrees and other court documents, you must submit certified copies made by a state court to obtain an apostille.

· Births, marriages, death certificates and other important records must be signed by the Secretary of State of Kansas from the registry office, Department of Health.

· To prove your status as „single“, also called „no marriage letter yet“, you must request a marriage certificate stating the number of years to search. Persons who have been married and divorced must have prepared copies of these documents at the time of the search.

Apostille Iowa

In the state of Iowa, the apostille is issued by the Business Services Office of Matt Schultz, Iowa’s Secretary of State in Des Moines.

Documents submitted to the apostille must meet the following guidelines:
· For documents representing school records, such as diplomas or transcripts issued by a Iowa university, such as the University of Iowa, the University of Northern Iowa, Grinnell College, and others, you need: official and notarized official documents issued by the secretary of the university you graduated; and a letter confirming that your university is accredited by the Higher Education Commission.

· To obtain apostilles for registry records, such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, or death certificates, you need documents issued by district registrars and local secretaries.

· Copies of court documents and registries cannot be notarized by public notaries.

· The Iowa Secretary of State will verify or accept only the signatures of prominent notaries with active commissions

Apostille Indiana

For documents originating in the state of Indiana, the authority providing apostille services is the Office of the Secretary of State of Indiana in Indianapolis – Connie Lawson.
Documents submitted to the apostille must meet the following guidelines:
You can request the apostilization of articles of association, power of attorney, and other private and business documents, as well as important records such as birth certificates, marriages, divorce certificates, or death certificates if the documents are signed by a government official or notary.
In the case of apostilles required for registry records, records issued at the regional level are not acceptable. Only certified copies issued by the Ministry of Health. If you need to apostille documents such as divorce decrees or marriage licenses, you need a certified copy of the district court clerk’s document from the county where the original documents were issued.
For academic documents, such as diplomas, transcripts, or other records issued by Purdue University, Indiana University, or the University of Notre Dame, the documents must be properly notarized to be acceptable to the apostille.

Apostille Illinois

In the state of Illinois, Jesse White, Secretary of State of Illinois, publishes apostilles for foreign use with the assistance of the Index Department in Springfield and Chicago.
Documents submitted to the apostille must meet the following guidelines:
· Documents must be issued in the state of Illinois and must be signed and certified by a local / state secretary, notary, or district or district official.

· For registry records, you first need a copy certified by a district official or issued by the local secretary’s office in the Illinois Department of Public Health. For a marriage card, you only need a certified copy from a regional official.

· For a divorce certificate to be acceptable to an apostille, it must be certified by a district court clerk.

Apostille Idaho

For the State of Idaho, the authority issuing apostilles for public and private documents is Ben Ysursa, Secretary of State of Idaho, in Boise. Notary officials and agents are also authorized by the SOS to issue apostilles.

Documents submitted to the apostille must meet the following guidelines:
· Documents must be issued in Idaho.

· Notarial documents must contain a notarial signature, a notarial stamp and a completed certificate.

· Registry records must be certified copies issued and signed by James B. Aydelotte, Secretary of State for Registry.

· School records, such as diplomas and transcripts, must be signed by the school secretary and verified before being sent for apostilization.

Apostille Florida

In the state of Florida, apostilles are issued by the office of Secretary Ken Detzner, with the help of the corporate division office.
The documents must meet the following guidelines:
In order for documents to be accepted, they must be notarized by an authorized notary in Florida and must be marked as true by a notarial certificate from a notary in Florida.
Only documents written in English are acceptable for the apostille.
Only documents certified in Florida can be submitted to the apostille in Tallahassee.
Signatures acceptable for the purposes of the apostille for birth and death certificates are the signature of Secretary of State C. Meade Grigg obtained from the Bureau of Vital Statistics in Jacksonville, Florida, as well as the signatures of Oliver Board, Charles Mahan and Edward Williams. The signature of a local paramedic is not acceptable for an apostille in Florida.
To be acceptable to an apostille, death certificates must be less than ten years old.
Business documents must be signed by the Secretary of State or the competent authority to be acceptable to the apostille.
Passenger car titles must be certified by the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles to be acceptable for the apostille.
Academic documents, such as diplomas and transcripts, must be notarized in the presence of the custodian from the school secretary, who will sign a letter in front of the notary stating that the transcript is the actual original at the time of issue. Only under these conditions will it be acceptable for the apostille.
Four types of notarial certificates can be submitted to the apostille: a certified copy, an oath or certificate, a certificate of individual capacity and a certificate of representative capacity.

Apostille Connecticut

In the state of Connecticut, apostilles issue original and notarized documents with the office of Secretary of State Denis W. Merri in Hartford. Ideally, the submitted documents should be issued in Connecticut no later than seven years ago.
The documents must meet the following guidelines:
· Apostilles for academic records published in Connecticut may be made: a) by requesting a copy of a diploma or transcript from a university, or b) by making a copy and notarizing the records you currently have as true and correct copies.

· Documents are accepted for apostilization if they are signed by a state gardener, a city, a deputy, an assistant clerk, a judge of a high and succession court, or a notary office. Certified copies of public records can be obtained from your city official.

· Photocopies of documents cannot be certified. The solution is a notarial letter stating the correctness of the copy with the attached notarial legal certificate, thanks to which your document is acceptable for apostilization.

· Before applying for an apostille, school diplomas, transcripts or school records must be certified by the school secretary.

Apostille Colorado

Apostilles and authentications are issued in Colorado by the Colorado State Secretary, Scott Gessler, Denver, on original documents including birth, death and marriage certificates, and academic diplomas and transcripts.
The documents must meet the following guidelines:
In order to apostille a notarized document, you must submit a document with the original signature and the correct notarial certificate, with the date, stamp and signature of the notary.
Certified copies of the marriage card and the decision on divorce can be requested from the regional official who issued the original documents.

Apostille Hawaii

In Hawaii, public and private documents are issued by the office of Honorary Governor Shan S. Tsutsui.
Documents submitted to the apostille must meet the following guidelines:
Registry records such as birth, marriage and death certificates issued by the State Office of Transport must be in the form of certified copies signed „with a pen in hand“.
Judicial documents submitted for apostilization must be sealed and stamped by a court clerk.
General documents, such as powers of attorney, company documents, and school records submitted to the apostille, must be duly notarized by the district court.
Academic documents, such as diplomas and transcripts, must be notarized in advance by a notary in Hawaii.
If you need to verify a document for non-member countries of the Hague Convention, your verification will be issued by the State District Court.

Apostille Arkansas

In the state of Arkansas, apostilles are issued through the State Commercial and Business Services Office, B.C.S. in Little Rock Arkansas and the office of Secretary of State Mark Martin.
Documents submitted to the apostille must meet the following guidelines:
Diplomas, transcripts, general school records and any other academic diplomas must be notarized by the school secretary before applying for an apostille.
Every document written in a foreign language must be translated into English before being sent.
All documents must be properly notarized by a legal declaration and a certificate must be provided for each individual signature.
Documents must be issued by William Adams, Michael Adams or Secretary of State Mischelle Priebe, civil servants, state and district officials and the Chief Justice of the Ministry of Health and Vitality Statistics.

Apostille Arizona

In the state of Arizona, apostilles are published by Ken Bennett, Secretary of State in Phoenix, Arizona.
Documents submitted to the apostille must meet the following guidelines:
Documents such as birth, death or marriage certificates, considered as registration records, must be verified by the current Secretary of State, Patricia Adams, and must be issued no earlier than 5 years ago.
Notarial documents must be certified by an Arizona district official and duly notarized by a notarial legal certificate.
Academic documents must be notarized by the school secretary.

Apostille Alaska

The Alaskan Apostille is issued by the Office of Lieutenant Governor in Juneau because Alaska does not have a Secretary of State.
Documents submitted to the apostille must meet the following guidelines:
Documents must meet legal requirements and be properly verified, which means that in Alaska they should include: signature of principal and notary, notary’s certificate, expiration date of notarial commission, imprint of a notary seal that can be reproduced in photocopy or fax and stamped in ink or ink seal.
The documents must be originals issued by Alaska Secretary of State Phillip Mitchell.
Documents issued by the court should be officially / notarized copies.
Before applying for an apostille, school transcripts or school records must be verified by the school secretary.

Apostille Alabama

In the state of Alabama, apostilles are issued for public and private documents by the Secretary of State of Montgomery.
Documents submitted to the apostille must meet the following guidelines:
It must bear the signature and stamp of the current Secretary of State of Alabama and Director of the Center for Health Statistics, Catherine Molchan Donald, the signature of an inheritance judge, a district official and the signature and seal of a notary public in Alabama.
Documents bearing the signature of Dorothy S. Harshbarger are not accepted for the apostille.
Notarized documents must have an individual notarial certificate of the district issued by the district registrar.
School transcripts and diplomas issued by universities in Alabama must be signed by an Alabama notary before applying for an apostille. Only the school seal and the signature authority are not appropriate.
If marriage and divorce documents are public and can be requested by anyone, duplicate registry entries have limited access and can only be requested by the persons listed in the document or a family member (mother, father, husband, wife, children and siblings).
